Dr. January Hill is a Bariatric and General Surgeon at Live Healthy MD. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Xavier University of Louisiana. Dr. Hill then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University. Dr. Hill completed an internship and residency in General Surgery at SUNY Buffalo in New York, and a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Virginia. After fellowship training, she practiced bariatric surgery in a private practice setting in upstate New York. In 2019, Dr. Hill moved to Macon, Georgia to join our team at Live Healthy MD. Dr. Hill is board certified in General Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery. She is an active member of the Association of Women Surgeons and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. Dr. Hill’s professional interests include advanced laparoscopy, robotic surgery and bariatric surgery. She has completed over 1,100 bariatric procedures and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the practice.
